Sharing his insights into value of storytelling in business organizations, The History Factory’s founder and CEO Bruce Weindruch will present at two October events.
On Friday, October 10, Bruce will share a panel seat with Dave Isay, the founder and President of StoryCorps, and Thaler Pekar of Thaler Pekar & Partners at The Communications Network annual conference “Communications Matters” in Philadelphia. The panel, led by Katie Butterfield of The Atlantic Philanthropies, will discuss the importance of oral histories as a way to document the past and inform the future.
Then, on Wednesday, October 15, Bruce will present at Chicago Ideas Week 2014. During the lab “Start with the Future and Work Back”, Bruce will share insights and examples of how the ups and downs, wins and losses and lessons learned can help elevate an organization’s position in the marketplace and lead audiences to the most compelling question: “what happens next?” The 90-minute workshop will also incorporate the history of Steelcase, parent company to our lab host Workspring, as well as other well-known organizations.
The public is welcome to join Bruce for the Chicago Ideas Week event and receive a History Factory guest discounted rate. To do so, please use code: HOST143 for 25% off the $15 ticket fee. Space is limited so be sure to register early via this link.
