For the first time in 40 years, the Oral History Society (UK) addressed corporate history in its annual conference. Our Founder and CEO Bruce Weindruch, a recognized pioneer in corporate history, was the opening keynote speaker.
The conference focused on the relationship between oral history and business, and why institutions and businesses
want to record and use their histories.
Conference attendees represented some of http://www.ejsmith.com/ the most prestigious institutions, universities, libraries, museums and corporate archives from the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Egypt.
Very special thanks to the co-directors of the conference: Dr. Robert Perks, Director of National Life Stories and Lead Curator of the Oral History Library at the British Library, and Dr. Margaretta Jolly, Reader in Cultural Studies and Director of the Centre for Life History and Life Writing Research at the University of Sussex.
We hope to have the presentation available online http://www.trevorturnbull.com soon.
