On the eve of its 40th anniversary, The Boston Beer Company was keenly aware of the need to preserve its history and educate new employees unaware of its brewing past. With the help of tenured employees and leadership, we launched a robust archives program (including a digital archives) to keep materials accessible for the long term. This work led to a pop-up exhibit at Samuel Adams’ 40th Anniversary Event, showcasing artifacts from the company’s founding through today. It was a hit—and was later expanded at an all-employee event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
